Rapid Plas is very happy to support the Westpac Rescue Helicopter with a tank donation. Rapid Plas donated a 5000-gallon rainwater tank to the 2016 Rescue Ball, which as a result helped to raise over $40,000 for the chopper.
About the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service
The Westpac Helicopter service is a world-class aeromedical search and rescue operation. The service currently undertakes more than 1000 missions each year, across the Hunter, New England, Central Coast and Mid North Coast regions. This area covers approximately 132,000 square kilometers and includes a population of 1.2 million people. As a result of continued community support, no patients have had to pay to be airlifted from an emergency. So Rapid Plas is proud to be part of this support.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service responds to numerous incidents on rural properties. Incidents that have occurred requiring the service include individuals crushed by cattle, thrown from horses, fallen from bikes and injured by farm machinery.
