When your property isn't on mains sewer, the septic tank is the workhorse the whole system leans on. The RapidPlas 3,000L Underground Septic Tank is our own poly design — a tough, self-anchoring alternative to concrete that goes in without a poured anchor slab, built in Tamworth and certified to AS/NZS 1546.1. Its internal partition treats wastewater in two stages before it moves through to your absorption trench, and it's sized to suit households of one to five people.

A note on installation

Septic tanks must be installed by a licensed plumber and approved by your local council to meet the relevant Australian Standards. Trench and absorption sizing depends on your soil and site, assessed by a site and soil engineer. The standard lid is rated for pedestrian areas — if you're installing under a driveway or anywhere vehicles travel, talk to us first about a rated lid. You'll find the RapidPlas septic tank through our dealer network — many plumbing and rural stores keep a few in stock, so you can often collect one locally. If we're already delivering tanks to your property, we can arrange for your septic tank to come with them; you'll just need suitable lifting gear on site to unload it.
